Harry Styles has been announced as the curator for the 2026 Meltdown festival at the Southbank Centre for its 75th anniversary year.
He will curate the annual multi-arts festival across its 11-acre site from 11th to 21st June, joining a list of past curators that includes David Bowie, Yoko Ono and Patti Smith.
Styles commented, “I’m deeply honoured to curate the Meltdown festival, especially for the Southbank Centre’s 75th anniversary year. My goal as the curator is to share the music and art that I love, and to celebrate the rich history of the venue. We both share a passionate belief that music is a vital part of life. It brings us together and the Southbank Centre has been at the heart of it, providing easy access to great music for the past 75 years. I’m incredibly grateful to Southbank for having me, it’s really exciting for me to have this opportunity in such an iconic venue.”
Styles’ curatorship will explore a wide range of influences, from pop and rock to emerging British talent. The festival will feature a headline concert by Styles and include a public programme of interactive and free events aimed at engaging young people throughout the UK.
The full line-up and ticket release dates for the festival will be announced in Spring 2026. More information can be found at southbankcentre.co.uk/meltdown.
