War Child Records have announced the release of ‘HELP(2)’, a new collaborative album inspired by the 1995 release ‘HELP’ that will support the charity’s efforts to provide aid, education, mental health support, and protection to children affected by conflict.
‘HELP(2)’ – due on 6th March – features contributors including Arctic Monkeys, Anna Calvi, Arlo Parks, Damon Albarn, Depeche Mode, Foals, and many more. The project was developed in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios and recorded largely over a week in November 2025 under the guidance of producer James Ford.
The original ‘HELP’ album, recorded in a single day in 1995, raised significant funds to support children caught in the Bosnian conflict. Today, the number of children affected by conflict has nearly doubled, underscoring the urgency of War Child’s mission.
James Ford commented on the initiative, saying, “I felt incredibly honored when War Child asked me to work on ‘HELP(2)’. The experience of making the album itself has been very powerful, and dare I say life affirming for me personally, against the backdrop of a very difficult year. I’m extremely proud of the results and of the efforts made by all involved. I can’t wait for people to hear this very special record.”
