Down With Boring signs off for 2025 with Fred from Spector and a heaving sack

Another Monday, another Down With Boring — and the last one of 2025, no less.

This week, Fred from Spector drops by to chat about the shows wrapping up the year, the 10th anniversary of ‘Moth Boys’, and what Christmas presents he’d buy for Nelson Mandela and CMAT. Naturally. We also get into our favourite — and least favourite — Christmas classics, talk about ‘Lullaby’ by Together For Palestine, and attempt to unpack the mystery of Elton John’s oven.

It’s been a year of chaos, tunes and questionable opinions, and we’re signing off for 2025 exactly as we started: entirely unprepared but having a great time. We’ll be back in January with a special live episode recorded on stage at Rockaway on 2nd January.

You can catch this week’s Down With Boring on Dork Radio, tonight (Monday 15th December) at 8pm GMT. If you miss it, don’t worry – you’ll be able to download the new edition of Down With Boring via all the usual podcast providers, including Apple PodcastsSpotify and more.

Not only that, you can find this and the complete back catalogue of Down With Boring in the new Dork Radio app. Available for iOS and Android, it also allows you to tune into Dork Radio live on the go, and get all the latest music news direct to your mobile device. You can also listen at readdork.com/radio, or via TuneIn on iOS, Android and more.

Down With Boring broadcasts every fortnight at 8pm BST on Dork Radio.
