Michigan noise-rock band Prostitute have signed to Mute for their debut album, due next year

Prostitute have announced their signing to Mute Records, along with details of their debut album ‘Attempted Martyr’.

The album will be available on a limited Arabic edition Lebanese sunburst vinyl through Dinked, and a red vinyl edition, on 13th March 2026.

The band, hailing from Dearborn, Michigan, have also revealed plans for a European and UK tour in spring 2026, including shows at London’s MOTH Club on 28th and 29th April, the Roadburn Festival, and Supersonic Festival.

One half of the duo, Andrew, says of the record, “There’s an angst to the album. I’m not religious, but I’ve always been drawn to art and stories about religion – this yearning for transcendence, for an answer, for forgiveness. The album is about someone trying to transcend in some way. This character is reprehensible. But we’re not trying to tell anyone what to think. This isn’t some manifesto – this is art, it’s an outlet for things we were feeling.”

The tracklisting for ‘Attempted Martyr’ reads:

‘All Hail’
‘Judge’
‘M. Dada’
