Grace Inspace has unveiled her latest single, ‘Emergency Contact’. The release comes with the announcement of her new EP, ‘Heavy Hair’, set to be released via TODO Records.
Grace says, “‘Emergency Contact’ is a moment of self-realisation – when anger, long suppressed, finally spills over and becomes the spark for change.
“I used to draw girls with hair so heavy it dragged along the floor, weighed down by everything unsaid and would tell my mum my hair felt heavy with emotions. I saw those drawings again before writing this song and to me it captured how women are taught to please, to smooth over, to silence any emotion deemed ugly or excessive.
“The song came to life almost entirely in one night. It poured out and was one of the most liberating writing experiences I’ve had.”
The new release follows previous singles ‘Meteor’ (feat. Luna Li) and ‘Unrivaled’, as well as Grace’s 2023 EP ‘Sunshine Kid’, which was featured in a global Celine advertisement.
