Babyshambles are set to reissue their debut album ‘Down In Albion’ with a remastered edition to celebrate its 20th anniversary due on 12th December.
Originally released in November 2005, the album will be expanded into a double vinyl edition, featuring additional session tracks, rarities, and b-sides from the era.
This anniversary edition will be available on limited edition cream-coloured vinyl and a blue-coloured vinyl edition, sold exclusively through the Babyshambles and Rough Trade Records webstores.
The reissue also pays tribute to the late guitarist Patrick Walden, who passed away earlier this year. His portrait, captured by Hedi Slimane, is included on the sleeve using a special UV gloss.
In a limited number of copies, frontman Peter Doherty will recreate the original hand-drawn artwork for the album’s release.
Peter Doherty reflects on this edition, saying, “A beloved and beautiful man, and a rare and remarkable musical talent, ‘Down in Albion’ is perhaps Patrick Walden’s finest hour as a guitarist and composer. Let it ring out!”
