Ratboys have announced their new album ‘Singin’ to an Empty Chair’

Ratboys are gearing up to release their new album ‘Singin’ to an Empty Chair’, marking their first collaboration with New West Records.

The album is scheduled to be released on 6th February. Accompanying this announcement, the band has shared a new single and video, ‘Anywhere’.

Recorded with co-producer Chris Walla, the album was crafted across various locations, including a cabin in Wisconsin and Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio studio in Chicago.

Vocalist/guitarist Julia Steiner describes the album as a collection of personal reflections, stating, “A big, overarching theme of this record is my attempt to document my experience being estranged from a close loved one. The goal is to update this person on what’s been going on in my life and to try to bridge that impasse and reach out a hand into the void.”

The tracklisting for ‘Singin’ to an Empty Chair’ reads:

‘Open Up’
‘Know You Then’
‘Light Night Mountains All That’
‘Anywhere’
‘Penny in the Lake’
‘Strange Love’
‘The World, So Madly’
‘Just Want You to Know the Truth’
‘What’s Right?’
‘Burn It Down’
‘At Peace in the Hundred Acre Wood’
