Hannah Jadagu – Describe

Label: Sub Pop
Released: 24th October 2025

If debut album ‘Aperture’ was a promising introduction, ‘Describe’ is where Hannah Jadagu steps fully into her own space. Written between New York, California and countless video calls, it’s an album built around distance and reflection that somehow feels closer and more personal than anything she has made before.

The fuzzy guitars are swapped for glowing synths and soft electronics, giving everything a new, easy confidence. Each track feels like a small experiment that clicks into place. ‘Gimme Time’ starts in quiet reflection before blooming into hazy electro-soul. ‘Doing Now’ loops its uncertainty until it becomes hypnotic. The title track floats along gently, while ‘My Love’ is a clear standout, a glowing, romantic rush that flirts with The 1975’s sentimental side but keeps Jadagu’s warmth at the centre.

‘Describe’ feels beautifully realised, natural in its unpredictability. Jadagu’s voice is tender but steady, her songwriting thoughtful without losing its sense of play. Even when the production leans heavier, as on ‘More’ or ‘Normal Today’, there is always space for emotion to move around. This is an album that reveals itself slowly, each listen peeling back another layer of melody or mood you hadn’t noticed before. It finds strength in uncertainty and beauty in restraint, striking a balance between curiosity and care.

Only a few years into her career, Hannah Jadagu already sounds like she knows exactly where she’s heading. ‘Describe’ isn’t just a step forward, it’s the sound of an artist finding joy in her own evolution.
