Gretel has unveiled her latest single ‘Maybelline’, released via Breadcrumb Records/AWAL.
“I wrote ‘Maybelline’ after hanging out with my nana and coming to the conclusion that, at the risk of sounding obvious, there are some universally shared experiences that women have, despite generational differences,” Gretel explains.
“Like tackling a feeling of performativeness and a gaze, which I think makeup is a great example and symptom of. It can be expressive or destructive, whatever you make it.”
Gretel’s next live show is a sold-out performance at London’s The George Tavern on 11th November.
