Gorillaz have released ‘The Manifesto’, featuring Trueno and Proof, as the second track from their upcoming album ‘The Mountain’. The song follows the previous release, ‘The Happy Dictator’.
‘The Manifesto’ explores themes of life cycles and the afterlife, featuring Argentine rapper Trueno and a posthumous verse by Proof. The track also includes contributions from Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, Jea Band Jaipur, Ajay Prasanna and The Mountain Choir led by Vijayaa Shanker.
Russel Hobbs commented, “As space dust we are here forever and that’s a mighty long time. This is a musical meditation infused with light. A journey of the soul, with beats…”
