War Child UK have unveiled the support acts for their forthcoming Day of the Girl concerts, which will feature headline performances by girli, English Teacher and Katy J Pearson.
Girli is set to perform on 9th October at London’s Oslo, with Dirt Flirt (pictured) as the supporting act. English Teacher, last year’s Mercury Prize winners, will take the stage on 10th October at Liverpool’s Hangar 34 with support from Neve Cariad.
Neve Cariad commented, “We’ll be playing a gig raising money for War Child, who put emphasis on the women and girls particularly vulnerable to war. We felt it incredibly important to help those who have been affected, and continue to be affected by the wars and genocides that perpetuate.”
Katy J Pearson will close out the Day of the Girl series on 12th October at London’s The 100 Club, with support from Jimmy Means Smut and Sarah Meth.
The Day of the Girl concerts provide critical support for women and girls living in conflict zones. Since 2021, the event has raised over £250K, with artists like Griff and Bree Runway contributing to the cause.
Tickets are now on sale, and the events are promoted in partnership with Communion ONE and sponsored by DHL.
