Shelf Lives are back with their new single ‘like heR’ and a bunch of UK dates

Shelf Lives are set to open a new chapter with ‘like heR’, a fresh single that arrives as the London duo sharpen their electro-bass punk blueprint. The track was co-written with Pat Alvarez and features a guest spot from Lola Sam of Hot Wax on bass.

Described by the pair as a response to identity and comparison, ‘like heR’ arrives following their 2024 EP ‘No Idea’ and a sold-out headline at MOTH Club. The band were also recently awarded PRS Foundation’s PPL Momentum funding.

“‘like heR’ is for everyone who’s struggled to feel enough. It’s for anyone who has had their joy stolen by the comparison gremlin,” the band explain. “We spend so much time looking into an abyss of endless comparison that gives us infinite options for identity. It’s gotten to the point where a lot of us don’t know who we are. The monoculture is over, which means we are now being sold back to ourselves. We just wanted to let people know that they’re not alone.”

The dates read:

28 Leeds (w/ Lambrini Girls)
29 Manchester (w/ Lambrini Girls)
30 Bristol (w/ Lambrini Girls)
