The Great Escape is set to kick off their 2026 edition with the return of First Fifty, a one-night live launch across East London on 13th November 2025, unveiling an initial wave of artists confirmed for next May’s Brighton festival.
Taking place at a number of buzzy venues around the area, Dork will stage The Itch, Really Good Time and SLAG at Sebright Arms, with acts performing at other locations to include Tommy WA, Girl Tones, Ain’t and more.
The festival has also named Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) as its lead charity partner for 2026, with donations available at ticket checkout. Simon Gunning, CALM CEO says: “Music is part of the DNA of CALM – right from the time Tony Wilson helped us launch. We use it to reach more people who need us. To make some noise about suicide and help save lives. That’s why it’s so brilliant to be The Great Escape’s lead charity partner.
“You’ll see us down the front. On the walls of every venue. Speaking on the panels. Making sure people know that if they’re struggling, we’re here for them. And with the festival taking place during Mental Health Awareness Week in 2026, it seems the perfect time to get that message out there.”
The Great Escape will return to Brighton from 13th – 16th May 2026, presenting over 450 artists across more than 35 venues alongside the TGE conference.
