Self Esteem has released her new single ‘The Curse’ with a self-directed video

Self Esteem has released a new single, ‘The Curse’, alongside a self-directed video. The track, an ode to her relationship with alcohol, features on her new album ‘A Complicated Woman’, out now via Polydor Records.

Rebecca Lucy Taylor says, “A song about being more shy than you realised. I put my directing bonnet back on for this one, as always thank you to the incredible cast and crew for being so good and so up for my daft shit ♥️ Starring a who’s who of my closest friends and chosen family.”

‘A Complicated Woman’ follows Self Esteem’s BRIT and Mercury Prize-nominated 2021 album ‘Prioritise Pleasure’. Following a headline set at End of the Road Festival, Self Esteem will tour the UK and Ireland through September and October.

Taylor will publish her debut book, also titled ‘A Complicated Woman’, on 30th October via Octopus Books/Hachette. She will mark its release by co-curating the London Literature Festival at Southbank Centre on 1st November.
