Zander has shared a video for his second Chess Club single, ‘New Woman’

Zander has released his second single for Chess Club Records, ‘New Woman’, lifted from a forthcoming debut project, and has been announced for AEG’s new Lock In festival in September, headlined by Esme Emerson.

Fully written, produced and recorded by the Yorkshire-born artist, ‘New Woman’ was started during a writing trip to Ireland, with its original demo put together in a matter of hours.

Explaining the track’s origins, Zander says, “It came out of a period of reflection. Constantly seeking validation in the past and asking myself why. The “New Woman” is your childhood beating you down, your friend not being around, the job that seems to never end and the chip on your shoulder.”

The new single follows ‘Madeline’, Zander’s Chess Club debut released in June.
