The Independent Music Awards have announced their 2025 nominees, with Aluna, Bon Iver, Fontaines D.C., and Wet Leg among those shortlisted for the ceremony’s 15th anniversary edition.

The event, set to take place at London’s Roundhouse on 23rd September, sees multiple nominations for Ezra Collective, Fcukers, Hope Tala and anaiis across various categories.

“As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Independent Music Awards, I’m inspired by the extraordinary creativity flowing from the UK’s independent music community,” says AIM CEO Gee Davy.

“Every year, our sector delivers music that speaks to hearts, minds and dancing feet – and this year’s nominees are no exception. Our panel of tastemakers has curated a spectacular selection from the vast array of submissions. This is only a glimpse of the immense talent and variety within the scene, but showcases the fearless artistry that defines this community.”

For the first time, the ‘Best Independent Record Store’ category will be nominated by the public, while fans will also choose the winner of the ‘Best Live Performer’ award.

Additional categories including ‘Best Independent Label’, ‘Best Boutique Label’, ‘Music Entrepreneur of the Year’ and ‘Best Creative Campaign’ are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
