Leigh-Anne has returned with new single ‘Been A Minute’, released via Virgin Music Group.
The track, produced by Elijah “GYW Eli” Ross and Lasse Qvist, samples Masters at Work’s classic ‘Work’. The accompanying music video, directed by Femi Lade, portrays a carnival atmosphere featuring choreography and a narrative twist involving a mysterious figure in red.
“There’s something powerful about sampling a song that shaped me growing up. I used to play it with friends when I was younger, and now I’ve reimagined it as the soundtrack to my comeback. ‘Been a Minute’ is fun, nostalgic, and the first taste of this new era,” Leigh-Anne says.
The single follows her 2024 EP ‘No Hard Feelings’, which explored themes of love while incorporating her Bajan and Jamaican roots with R&B influences.
