Oasis have announced details of a 30th anniversary deluxe edition of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?‘, featuring five new unplugged versions of classic tracks.
Set for release on 3rd October via Big Brother Recordings, the collection includes unplugged renditions of ‘Cast No Shadow’, ‘Morning Glory’, ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Acquiesce’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’. The new versions have been produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher alongside Callum Marinho at Gallagher’s Lone Star Sound studio in London.
The deluxe formats, available as limited edition 2CD and 3LP sets, feature new artwork from original sleeve designer Brian Cannon and fresh sleeve notes. Various coloured vinyl variants will be available, including a crystal clear edition for independent record stores, blue marble for HMV, sepia marble for Amazon, and neon orange through the band’s official store. Each format includes the 2014 remastered version of the original album.
The announcement arrives as Oasis begin their Live ’25 tour, with fans from 158 countries having applied for tickets to the UK shows. To accompany the tour, Big Brother Recordings have launched the Oasis Live ’25 Map Experience, an interactive digital platform built with Google Maps that highlights landmarks from the band’s history in each tour city.
