PinkPantheress has shared unreleased track ‘Close to you’, accompanied by a new music video.
The song, which was originally teased on Soundcloud in 2021, has been one of her most requested unreleased tracks. PinkPantheress recently performed the song live during an intimate show at Banquet Records’ Pryzm, where attendees received promotional CDs of the track.
The accompanying video, directed by Lauzza – who previously helmed the visuals for ‘Just For Me’ – follows PinkPantheress as she attempts to mend a broken heart through fairytale romance narratives.
“So excited to FINALLY present this song, i can’t believe how many people have asked for this song, im really honoured to have had fans wait this long for this release, being one of my first written songs, it’s so special that 4 years later it can see the light of day,” PinkPantheress says.
The release comes ahead of her sold-out London residency at O2 Academy Brixton, following her recent performance at Alexandra Palace. The track arrives in support of her second mixtape ‘Fancy That’, which includes tracks ‘Illegal’, ‘Girl Like Me’, ‘Tonight’, ‘Stars’, ‘Intermission’, ‘Noises’, ‘Nice to Know You’, ‘Stateside’, and ‘Romeo’.
