SOPHIE’s ‘PRODUCT’ singles collection is getting a 10th anniversary reissue with bonus tracks

Numbers are set to release a 10th-anniversary edition of SOPHIE‘s singles collection ‘PRODUCT’, featuring 11 tracks, including previously released singles and two bonus tracks from the era.

The anniversary edition includes SOPHIE’s celebrated tracks ‘BIPP’, ‘LEMONADE’, and ‘VYZEE’, alongside ‘OOH’ and ‘GET HIGHER’, two ‘PRODUCT’-era recordings.

‘OOH’, one of SOPHIE’s earliest productions dating back to 2011, underwent several revisions before being finalised in 2019. The track originated from the same recording session as SOPHIE’s debut single ‘NOTHING MORE TO SAY’, featuring vocals by London singer Jaide Green.

Green shares her experience of recording ‘OOH’: “Sophie got in touch after seeing me on The X Factor. OOH stood out to me, it was fun, playful, and creative. It was clear the lyrics were very significant to Sophie, however it didn’t feel like your usual heartbreak song, it was uptempo and happy. Even still, there was a strength behind the words. I thought it was a perfect fit, pure genius.”

‘GET HIGHER’, recorded in 2013 with vocalists Cassie Davis and Sean Mullins, was previously available only as a bonus track on the Japanese CD edition of ‘PRODUCT’. Davis recalls: “I remember being really impacted by the way Sophie had what I can only describe as a concern for how the song would make people feel, it seemed so important that people who might be feeling alone or maybe misunderstood would hear this and know that they were in-fact not alone in what they were going through, that the song should bring some comfort and uplift in its own way.”

Mullins adds: “Sophie introduced me to myself. She had this unapologetic ferocity for being true to who she was, that was infectious. I remember dancing around in the studio, vibing to the energy of creation in a way that I had never experienced before, devoid of ego. That’s what Sophie did for me, and I think what she’s done for a lot of other people with her incredible ability to connect us all to our higher selves through the act of creativity.”

The anniversary edition includes track-by-track slide posters featuring the original artwork from each single, including new slides for ‘OOH’ and ‘GET HIGHER’.
