BAYLI has released her releases new indie sleaze-inspired single ‘all of that’

BAYLI has shared new single ‘all of that’, a track that draws inspiration from the indie sleaze era and early 2010s New York.

The new release sees BAYLI blend elements of electroclash with lo-fi production and bass-heavy beats, taking cues from artists like Peaches while exploring themes of attraction and nightlife culture.

“‘all of that’ is like my new baby, if she were born in 2011 and wore metallic leggings, eyeliner for eyebrows, and a tumblr bio that said ‘your fave could never’,” BAYLI explains. “it’s for every girl i made eye contact with across a dark dancefloor and never saw again (which, honestly, is kind of the theme of all my songs, lol). it’s giving les dive bar, vashtie flyer, and stolen american spirits in your thrifted leather bag. it quite literally smells like subway sweat, duane reade perfume samples, and the inside of a le bain bathroom stall. that’s just the vibe sometimes. long story short: i was actually there in 2010. now please fucking listen to this masterpiece.”

The New York-born artist has previously worked with artists including SOPHIE, Shygirl, Slayyyter and Mura Masa, and received early mentorship from Rick Rubin. Alongside her music career, she has collaborated with Telfar and featured in campaigns for MILK Makeup.
