Luvcat has released a reimagined version of her debut single ‘Matador’ featuring a new string arrangement, marking one year since the track’s original release.
The new version, titled ‘Matador (Strings)’, offers a more vulnerable take on the original while maintaining the artist’s characteristic style. “It feels so sweet to revisit the song that started everything on its first year anniversary. The strings break my heart every time. This song is about a torturous love affair and I still feel it in my guts when I sing it, there’s always been a strange magic to it for me,” Luvcat says.
The release follows Luvcat’s recent festival appearances at Wide Awake in London, Neighbourhood Festival in Manchester, Live at Leeds, and Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool.
She has also completed her first European headline tour, performing in Cologne, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Berlin and Warsaw, alongside shows in New York and LA.
