Ella Eyre has released her new single ‘High On The Internet’, featuring rapper, songwriter and producer Jay Prince via Play It Again Sam.
The track, which marks Eyre’s fourth release as an independent artist, explores the concept of digital detoxing and finding connection in the real world. Speaking about the new single, Eyre says, “High On The Internet is the digital detox anthem I never knew I needed until I wrote it. It’s about being present in the real world and setting myself real boundaries with the internet and satisfying a deep craving for real-life connections in a hyperconnected world. It’s a soulful, wholesome reminder that the very best things in life can’t be witnessed or experienced via a screen.”
The collaboration features London’s Jay Prince, a close friend of Eyre’s who has previously worked with Tyler the Creator, Paul Epworth, Mr Hudson, Mura Masa, and Jay Electronica. The single follows Eyre’s previous releases ‘domino szn’, ‘Head In The Ground’, and ‘Ain’t No Love That Blind’, the latter of which she performed at the BAFTA TV Awards.
