Yungblud celebrates British culture in new single ‘Lovesick Lullaby’

Yungblud have released their latest single ‘Lovesick Lullaby’, following last month’s nine-minute track ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’.

The new single continues their evolution from the classic rock-influenced sound of their previous release, marking another chapter in Yungblud’s developing artistry.

Speaking about the creation of ‘Lovesick Lullaby’, Dom Harrison explains: “Making this song was a f*cking party and you can hear that on the recording… [I tried to] let my subconscious do a lot of the talking and then make sense of my words the following afternoon in a kitchen, hungover, eating fish and chips with a cup of tea… I’ve been on a journey trying to find meaning in different places all over the world, for which I am forever grateful, but it felt as though my feet left the ground a little too much and I had to bring myself back… to British music, to British art and culture.”

The track’s accompanying music video, directed by Charlie Sarsfield, celebrates British culture through imagery including Burberry and Mini Coopers.

The single precedes Yungblud’s upcoming Bludfest event, which returns this summer. The event will feature performances from Chase Atlantic, blackbear, and Denzel Curry.
