Adrianne Lenker has announced a new live album ‘Live at Revolution Hall’, set for release on 24th April via 4AD.
The 43-track collection spans 120 minutes and captures performances from three days of Lenker’s 2024 ‘Bright Future’ tour. The album features live renditions of fan favourites and unreleased material, including new track ‘happiness’, which has been shared alongside the announcement.
The recordings, engineered by Andrew Sarlo, feature Lenker performing alongside Nick Hakim on piano and Josefin Runsteen on violin. Sarlo’s approach to the recording process utilised reel-to-reel and cassette tape to document both on-stage performances and behind-the-scenes moments.
Sarlo explains: “Clocking in around 120 minutes featuring songs & vignettes recorded exclusively on reel to reel and cassette tape, there was an attempt to create a different spin on what a live album could be. Recorded over the span of 3-days while on the ‘Bright Future’ tour, we put friendship at the focal point making this a loving memento from one friend to another.”
‘Live at Revolution Hall’ will be available digitally and as a limited run of 500 double cassettes.
