The Beatles’ story is set to be told across four separate films, with Sam Mendes directing the ambitious project slated for release in 2028.
Sony Pictures have announced the cast for the upcoming series, with Harris Dickinson taking on the role of John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan portraying Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn playing George Harrison.
The project, titled ‘The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event’, will present each member’s individual story, with the films being produced by Mendes alongside Pippa Harris, Julie Pastor, and Alexandra Derbyshire. The production is a collaboration between Neal Street and Apple Corps for Sony Pictures.
The announcement marks the first major Beatles biopic to receive the approval and cooperation of Apple Corps, the company founded by the band to oversee their business interests.
