Canned Pineapple have dropped their new Tom Rees-produced EP, ‘Big Break’

Brighton’s Canned Pineapple have released their new EP ‘Big Break’ today (Friday, 21st March), featuring six new tracks.

The EP, produced by Tom Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard/The Bug Club/Panic Shack), showcases the band’s energetic post-punk infused indie-rock sound.

“‘Big Break’ is our tongue in cheek exploration of the idea that a band can ‘make it’ in the modern world and whether or not it’s just a fallacy exclusive to being printed in history,” the band explain. “We’re approaching the start to our fourth year as a band and the last three have been a total rollercoaster. With extreme highs and lows, ‘Big Break’ highlights a culmination of experiences we’ve had as a band, as housemates and as brothers, growing into adults together while in each other’s pockets as well as the pursuit for something bigger. We give you another six: party people, sing all night, run on the ceiling rock tunes and It’s our proudest, most honest work yet.”

The four-piece, comprising vocalist Seán Drury, guitarist Oakley Gardiner, Gabe Rice, and drummer Charlie Pringle, have recently performed at New Colossus Festival in New York and shared stages with LCD Soundsystem, The National, and The Last Dinner Party.
