Marika Hackman has shared a new version of ‘Skin’ featuring Laura Marling, recorded as part of Abbey Road’s annual collaboration with Pitchfork London.
The track, which originally appeared on Hackman’s debut album ‘We Slept At Last’, has been reimagined to mark the record’s 10th anniversary. The new version was recorded between The Gatehouse, Abbey Road Studios and Hackman’s own studio, with Hackman handling production duties.
The anniversary celebrations will continue with a special performance of ‘We Slept At Last’ in its entirety at London’s Union Chapel. The sold-out show, which will feature string accompaniment, takes place on 21st March.
The release follows Hackman’s fourth studio album ‘Big Sigh’, which arrived via Chrysalis in 2024.
