IDLES have announced the full line-up for their upcoming Block Party shows at Bristol’s Queen Square, set to take place on 1st and 2nd August.
The events, which mark Queen Square’s first major live music events in over 20 years, will be IDLES’ only UK headline shows of 2025, serving as a homecoming celebration for the Bristol band.
SOFT PLAY are set to lead Friday’s supporting bill, following their return with ‘HEAVY JELLY’. They will be joined by Lambrini Girls, who recently entered the Top 20 with their debut album ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’, while dubstep artist SICARIA will open the day’s performances.
Saturday’s line-up features The Voidz, who released their third album ‘Like All Before You’ last year, alongside Spanish duo Hinds and Bristol electronic artist Grove. DJ Tash LC, founder of Club Yeke, completes the day’s roster. Both events will also feature local DJs and food vendors from Bristol.
“Music we love for the people we love,” IDLES’ vocalist Joe Talbot says of the line-up selection.
The shows follow IDLES’ recent success with ‘TANGK’, which achieved their second UK Number One album and earned three Grammy Award nominations. The band performed headline sets at both Truck and End of the Road festivals in 2024, following their Other Stage closing performance at Glastonbury. Their autumn tour included two sold-out shows at London’s Alexandra Palace.
