Chloe Qisha has released her absurdly good Ian Dury-inspired single ‘Sex, Drugs, & Existential Dread’

Chloe Qisha has released her new single ‘Sex, Drugs, & Existential Dread’, marking her second release of 2025.

The track follows her previous single ’21st Century Cool Girl’ as well as her 2024 self-titled debut EP, and arrives alongside an accompanying music video.

“Last year, myself, Rob Milton & Mary Weitz were listening to songs on Spotify when ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll’ by Ian Dury came on, and Mary laughed and said ‘what would be the modern version of that title today?’” Qisha explains.

“To which we suggested things like ‘Sex, Drugs and Yoga,’ ‘Sex, Drugs and Green Juice’ and then someone or other said ‘Existential Dread’ – and what started off as a joke suddenly turned into a full song!

“The song at its core is me through and through, I’m the biggest homebody – I’m the happiest when I’m sat on my couch, rotting away with my cats. But that’s all laced with anxiety of course, because what would be life without a bit of existential dread.”
