Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Short n’ Sweet’ has returned to number one on the Official U.K. Albums Chart following the release of its deluxe edition on 21st February.
The expanded version of Carpenter’s sixth album features a remix of ‘Please Please Please’ with Dolly Parton, alongside new tracks ’15 Minutes’, ‘Couldn’t Make It Any Harder’, ‘Busy Woman’ and ‘Bad Reviews’.
The album has now accumulated three non-consecutive weeks at number one, having initially achieved the second-largest opening week of 2024, behind Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. Upon its original release last August, Carpenter made history as the first female artist to simultaneously top both the U.K. Albums Chart and Singles Chart, with ‘Taste’.
It beat Manic Street Preachers’ new album ‘Critical Thinking’ into second place, with PARTNEYDOOR and Drake’s ‘$ome $exy $ongs 4 U’ at 3 and The Wombat’s ‘Oh! The Ocean’ at 4. Louis Dunford grabs his first ever Top 10 album with ‘Be Lucky’ at 8.
Carpenter has announced an additional headline performance at BST Hyde Park this summer, following her sold-out show on 5th July. The new date will take place on 6th July, with support from Clairo and Olivia Dean.
