Coco Jones announces debut album ‘Why Not More?’, shares new single ‘Taste’

Coco Jones has announced her debut album ‘Why Not More?’, set for release on 25th April via High Standardz/Def Jam Recordings.

The album will feature previously released singles ‘Most Beautiful Design’, ‘Sweep It Up’, and the Grammy-nominated ‘Here We Go (Uh-Oh)’. Alongside the announcement, Jones has shared a new single ‘Taste’, produced by Stargate and Jasper Harris. The track samples Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’, with an accompanying video directed by Ava Rikki.

The announcement follows Jones’ recent success at the Grammy Awards, where she won Best R&B Performance for ‘ICU’. The artist has received seven Grammy nominations in total, including five nominations last year for Best New Artist. Her track ‘Here We Go (Uh Oh)’ earned two additional Grammy nominations this year for R&B Performance of the Year and Best R&B Song.

Jones signed with High Standardz/Def Jam in 2022, releasing the EP ‘What I Didn’t Tell You’, which included the platinum-certified single ‘ICU’. The track reached number one on the Billboard R&B Airplay chart. Jones has also collected Best New Artist awards at the BET Awards, The Soul Train Awards, and NAACP Image Awards.

Beyond music, Jones continues her role as Hilary Banks in Peacock’s ‘Bel-Air’, which has been renewed for a fourth season. She has recently completed production on a romantic comedy, ‘That’s Her’, where she serves as both star and executive producer.
