Jordan Rakei announces deluxe version of ‘The Loop’ with new tracks

Jordan Rakei is set to release a deluxe version of his fifth studio album ‘The Loop’ on 4th April, featuring three new tracks alongside live recordings from his Royal Albert Hall performances.

The expanded edition includes new songs ‘Celebrate’ featuring STUTS, ‘The Seize’, and lead single ‘Talk Talk Talk’, which was recorded during Rakei’s residency at Abbey Road Studios. The deluxe version also features live renditions of ‘Trust’, ‘Hopes and Dreams’, and ‘Friend Or Foe’ captured at the Royal Albert Hall.

“This song is simply about talking about your problems with people you trust. It was a really healthy exercise to let stuff go. Now I’m able to process stuff a lot better,” Rakei says of ‘Talk Talk Talk’.

“This deluxe album is special for me, because it features two new songs that hold a special place in my heart. So happy for them to be coming out in the world. It also features three live performances from my shows at The Royal Albert Hall last year which were some of my favourite live performances throughout the year of touring this record!” Rakei explains.

‘The Loop’, released via Decca, marked Rakei’s first Top 40 album. The original release features tracks including ‘Flowers’, ‘Freedom’, ‘Learning’, ‘Friend or Foe’, and ‘Trust’. Recorded at RAK Studios and self-produced, with mixing by Ben Baptie, the album showcases orchestral arrangements and choral elements alongside Rakei’s production work.
