Fontaines D.C. have teased new music with ‘It’s Amazing To Be Young’, sharing a video clip featuring the unreleased track on social media.
The Dublin band’s latest offering continues in the vein of their recent single ‘Favourite’, featuring bright acoustic guitars and driving percussion. The new track showcases frontman Grian Chatten’s vocals over an upbeat melody, with lyrics including: “It’s amazing To be young / Sometimes I wake up and it’s dark / Perform the ritual that puts me in the part.”
The accompanying video features a single shot of a girl sitting in the boot of a red car, her hands pressed against the rear window as the vehicle drives through suburban streets.
The track follows the band’s fourth album ‘Romance’, released through XL Recordings last year. Fontaines D.C. have also received a nomination for International Group Of The Year at this year’s BRIT Awards.
