Mumford & Sons share new song ‘Malibu’, from upcoming album ‘RUSHMERE’

Mumford & Sons have shared new track ‘Malibu’, the opening song from their forthcoming album ‘RUSHMERE’.

“‘Malibu’ was the first song we wrote when we got back together in Los Angeles in January 2023,” Marcus Mumford explains. “The song just felt like us, and the process of recording it with Dave [Cobb] captured it on record in a way that made us feel it had to open RUSHMERE. We love it.”

The album marks Mumford & Sons’ first new material in seven years, following the release of the record’s title track. The band recently performed at Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary concert, where they played ‘I Will Wait’ and covered Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘The Boxer’ with Jerry Douglas. They are also set to contribute a cover of ‘Harvest’ to an upcoming Neil Young tribute album.

The dates for Mumford & Sons’ club tour are as follows:

1 The Independent, San Francisco, US
2 The Troubadour, Los Angeles, US
4 The Roxy, Los Angeles, US
7 Webster Hall, New York City, US
