Wings of Desire release new single ‘A Few More Years’ ahead of UK tour

Wings Of Desire have released new single ‘A Few More Years’, accompanied by a white-label 7″ featuring a Ghost Culture remix as the B-side.

“‘A Few More Years’ is a sober reflection on the heady days of youth,” the band’s James Taylor says. “As we live through a world in flux let’s hark back to a time before algorithms and the financialization of social life. Windows down, Benson & Hedges lit. Watching the sun come up with dread as others march to their daily commute. A note on a past period of personal crisis, and a message to my younger self. Hold on for a few more years as things do get better with time. Everything looks beautiful from here.”

The standalone single marks the beginning of a new era for the duo, who released their debut anthology ‘Life Is Infinite’ in 2023, followed by the EP ‘Shut Up & Listen’ in 2024. The latter was released to raise funds for The Long Table, a Pay What You Can restaurant in Stroud.

The band’s upcoming dates read:

FEBRUARY
12 King Tuts, Glasgow, UK
13 Dead Wax, Birmingham, UK
14 Hallamshire Hotel, Sheffield, UK
18 The Lower Third, London, UK
