Sabrina Carpenter to receive BRITs Global Success award and perform at 2025 ceremony

Sabrina Carpenter is set to receive the Global Success award at The BRIT Awards 2025, becoming the first international artist to be presented with the honour following the BRITs Committee’s decision to open the award to overseas artists.

The former Dork cover star will also perform at the ceremony, which takes place at The O2 arena in London on 1st March, joining previously announced performers JADE, Myles Smith, Shaboozey, Teddy Swims and The Last Dinner Party.

Carpenter’s recognition follows a remarkable year which saw her hold the UK Charts’ number one position for 21 weeks in 2024, making her the first artist to achieve this feat in 71 years. She also became the first female artist to simultaneously occupy the top three spots in the Official UK Singles Chart with ‘Taste’, ‘Please Please Please’ and ‘Espresso’. In the US, she achieved another milestone as the first artist since The Beatles to have their first three top five hits in the top five simultaneously.

Damian Christian, Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2025, says: “Congratulations to Sabrina on winning this prestigious award. Everyone involved in the show is looking forward to her performance, which promises to be one of the highlights of the night.”

Her sixth studio album ‘Short n’ Sweet’ debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, marking the third biggest first week debut in the US in 2024. The album also reached number one in the UK, Canada, Australia, Spain and France. Carpenter recently collected two Grammy awards for Best Pop Vocal Album (‘Short n’ Sweet’) and Best Pop Solo Performance (‘Espresso’).

The ceremony, hosted by Jack Whitehall, will be broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX, with ‘The BRITs 2025: The Warm-Up’ airing on ITV2 and ITVX on 27th February from 9pm.
