Watch a new trailer for the Smurfs film, starring Rihanna

Rihanna and John Goodman are set to lead an all-star voice cast in Paramount Animation’s upcoming film ‘Smurfs’, arriving in theatres this summer.

The animated feature follows Smurfette, voiced by Rihanna, as she leads the Smurfs on a mission into the real world to rescue Papa Smurf (Goodman) after he is captured by evil wizards Razamel and Gargamel.

The film features an extensive ensemble cast including James Corden, Nick Offerman, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Natasha Lyonne, Sandra Oh, Octavia Spencer, Nick Kroll, Hannah Waddingham, Alex Winter, Maya Erskine, Billie Lourd, Xolo Maridueña, and Kurt Russell.

Chris Miller directs the film from a screenplay by Pam Brady, based on the characters created by Peyo. The project is produced by Jay Brown, Ty Ty Smith, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, and Ryan Harris.

A new single titled ‘Higher Love’ by Desi Trill, featuring DJ Khaled, Cardi B, Natania and Subhi, will accompany the film’s soundtrack.

‘Smurfs’ will arrive in theatres on 18th July.
