Self Esteem is taking a theatrical presentation of her new album to the West End

Self Esteem has announced a limited West End run of theatrical performances to coincide with the release of her new album ‘A Complicated Woman’.

Rebecca Lucy Taylor will present ‘A Complicated Woman Live’ at London’s Duke of York’s Theatre this April, collaborating with Tony award-winning designer Tom Scutt, who also directs the production. The show is described as a quasi-theatrical experience that combines the energy of a live gig with theatrical elements.

Taylor’s third album ‘A Complicated Woman’ is due 25th April, and features contributions from various artists including Nadine Shah, Moonchild Sanelly, and Sue Tompkins from Life Without Buildings.

The record includes a choir comprising dozens of female voices, including close friends, band members, collaborators, drag queen Meatball, and actress Julie Hesmondhalgh.

Tickets go on general sale on 5th February, with a pre-sale available to fans who pre-order the album before 3rd February.
