Some guy called Robbie Williams has equalled The Beatles’ chart record with a 15th UK Number 1 album

Robbie Williams has secured his 15th UK Number 1 album with ‘Better Man (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’, equalling The Beatles’ record for UK Number 1 albums.

The achievement extends Williams’ existing record as the solo artist with the most UK Number 1 albums. Including his work with Take That, Williams’ total number of chart-topping UK albums now stands at 20, placing him second only to Paul McCartney for the most Number 1s across an artist’s catalogue.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported the album and the movie. What a huge honour it is to get my 15th UK Number 1 album. A special thank you to all my fans, whose support I never take for granted. I’m so proud of the film ‘Better Man’ so to have the soundtrack album reach Number 1 makes it even more special,” Williams says.

The ‘Better Man (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’, released via Columbia Records, features new versions of Williams’ songs re-recorded and arranged for the film, including ‘Angels’, ‘She’s the One’ and ‘Rock DJ’. The album also includes ‘Forbidden Road’, which received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.
