The MOBO Awards have announced their first wave of performers for the 2025 ceremony, set to take place at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena on 18th February.
Spice, Krept & Konan, and Bashy are confirmed to perform at the event, which marks the first time the UK’s biggest celebration of Black music and culture has been held in the North East.
Jamaican artist Spice, nominated for Best Caribbean Music Act, will bring her dancehall performance to the MOBO stage. The singer’s latest album ‘Mirror 25’ achieved a Top 10 position on iTunes in 2024.
British rapper Bashy joins the line-up following the release of his first album in 15 years, ‘Being Poor is Expensive’. He has received three nominations, including Album of the Year, Best Male Act in association with Prostate Cancer UK, and Best Hip-hop Act.
UK hip hop duo Krept & Konan, who previously won Best Newcomer in 2013 and Best Hip Hop Act in 2015, complete the initial performance announcement.
“We’re thrilled to announce the first wave of performers for the 2025 MOBO Awards in Newcastle,” says MOBO Founder & CEO Kanya King CBE. “Each of these artists brings something truly special to the stage, and this is just the beginning. From the vibrant energy of dancehall to the dynamic sounds of UK rap and R&B, we’re curating a night full of unforgettable moments.”
The ceremony will be live-streamed on YouTube, with a BBC One special to follow. Prostate Cancer UK has been announced as the official charity partner for the 2025 ceremony.
