Samia has announced her third album ‘Bloodless’ with a single inspired by mysterious cattle mutilations

Samia has announced her third album ‘Bloodless’, set for release via Grand Jury Music on 25th April. The album’s lead single, ‘Bovine Excision’, is out now.

Recorded in North Carolina and Minneapolis, ‘Bloodless’ was created alongside co-producers Caleb Wright and Jake Luppen, with songwriting contributions from Christian Lee Hutson and Raffaela.

“It’s easier to be what someone wants you to be if you give as little as possible,” Samia explains. The album draws inspiration from unsolved mysteries, including inexplicable cattle mutilations. “I noticed a pattern in my life of wanting to live up to the person I became in someone’s head; you become a lot bigger with distance.”

Speaking about ‘Bovine Excision’, Samia says: “I was drawn to the phenomenon of bloodless cattle mutilation as a metaphor for self-extraction – this clinical pursuit of emptiness.”

The album features thirteen tracks, including ‘Biscuits Intro’, ‘Hole In A Frame’, ‘Lizard’, ‘Dare’, ‘Fair Game’, ‘Spine Oil’, ‘Craziest Person’, ‘Sacred’, ‘Carousel’, ‘Proof’, ‘North Poles’, and ‘Pants’.
