Circa Waves have released their new single ‘Like You Did Before’

Circa Waves have shared their new single ‘Like You Did Before’.

The track follows previous singles ‘We Made It’ and ‘American Dream’ from new album ‘Death & Love Pt.1’, drawing influence from the 2000s New York scene.

“This song is a reminder of a moment in my life that many people don’t know about,” Kieran Shudall explains. “Just before my heart operation lying in hospital when life felt uncertain and fragile, I would imagine myself in a packed sweaty indie club, dancing like my life depended on it. It was a daydream, a form of escape and this song fits perfectly into that vision.”

The album’s creation follows Shudall’s near-death experience in early 2023, when doctors discovered a severe blockage in his main heart artery, requiring immediate surgery.

The band have also not long announced their largest UK headline tour to date, including shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton and Liverpool’s Olympia.
