East 17’s ‘Stay Another Day’ songwriter Tony Mortimer has partnered with music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins to mark the track’s 30th anniversary with a series of special releases.
The collaboration includes a limited edition minifigure bauble featuring four figures dressed in replicas of the band’s iconic white parka jackets from the original music video.
Additionally, a special edition Christmas card is now available across all Cardfactory stores in the UK, with 25p from each £1.49 sale being donated to Nordoff and Robbins, and London Records are set to release two special edition 7″ vinyl formats of ‘Stay Another Day’ on 13th December.
Mortimer will perform ‘Stay Another Day’ at the Nordoff and Robbins Carol Service at St. Luke’s Church, London. The event, which also features Jamie Cullum and Lemar, takes place on 10th December.
The partnership aims to raise awareness of music therapy’s healing power, with Nordoff and Robbins’ therapists working to create spaces for self-expression and connection through music. Their work spans from supporting young people with mental health challenges to helping adults with dementia reconnect with family, and enabling autistic children to find their voice.
