Chinchilla has released ‘Do You See Me Now’, the theme song for Sky drama Sweetpea

CHINCHILLA has released ‘Do You See Me Now’, the opening theme for Sky Original series Sweetpea. The track was written by CHINCHILLA alongside Isobel Waller-Bridge.

The song has already received recognition in the industry, earning a nomination for a Hollywood Music Media Award since the series’ debut.

“‘Sweetpea’ as a series reminds me a lot of my song ‘Little Girl Gone’ – and I think every woman can relate to the feeling of being overlooked and having to smile through it,” CHINCHILLA says.

“When I got asked to collaborate on the title track for the series, it just felt so right. I already knew of Isobel Waller Bridge’s work and really admired her as a musician. She sent me over an instrumental and I wrote over it. I wanted to create something that combined vulnerable with unhinged. A combination I often live by musically.

“I wanted to include my vocal churchy choir sound in the vocals and have them singing something delusional ‘so say my name like I’m 10ft tall, bow your head like I’m royal’ – I love that on-the-edge energy of a woman losing her shit and demanding respect, after she’s been pushed to that point.”
