Bristol trio Mould’s new single ‘Chunks’ is about being bored and unappreciative

Bristol trio Mould have announced their signing to 5dB Records alongside the release of their new single ‘Chunks’.

The track marks the band’s first new material since their debut EP last summer, and received its first play via BBC 6 Music’s Huw Stephens.

“It’s kinda about having a privileged view point and still being bored/unappreciative of what’s in front of you,” explains Joe Sherrin. “I wrote it during a monster drive where the scenery didn’t really change out the window for hours. Hence the opening few lines of first verse – it was somewhere between Idaho and Salt Lake City I think, on a tour. We couldn’t decide what to call it so called it ‘Chunks’, which was the placeholder title, because of the big chunky ending.”

Their upcoming dates include:

JANUARY
25 Strange Brew, Bristol
31 Paper Dress Vintage, London

FEBRUARY
21 Borderline Festival, Dublin

MARCH
6-10 New Colossus Festival, New York City

MAY
23 Sniester Festival, Den Haag, NL
