Clear your diaries, Dear Reader – we’re throwing the ultimate indie disco to see out 2024, and you’re all invited.
Taking over London’s legendary 100 Club on Tuesday, 31st December, Dork’s New Year’s Night Out is bringing together everything that makes the perfect party. Indie anthems? Check. Our favourite bands? Obviously. A healthy dose of pure pop nonsense? Would it even be Dork without it?
Headlining proceedings (and technically playing both their last and only London show of 2024, and first of 2025 – that’s value for money right there) are indie’s most erudite outfit, Spector, bringing their signature blend of sharp wit and soaring melodies to round off the year in style.
They’re joined by fast-rising Hype List alumni L’Objectif, plus – fresh from bringing the house down at a “ridiculous” LAL Afterparty – Dork DJs will be spinning The Ultimate New Year Jukebox, because somebody needs to ensure we’re all dancing (or perhaps complaining, TBC) until dawn.
What’s more, every ticket comes with entry into the Dork Raffle (we’ve got the Pop Tombola Drum warming up as we speak), with prizes including gig tickets, signed goodies, and much more up for grabs. There’s only a 40% chance we’ll mess this one up, which are frankly better odds than most of our previous endeavours.
With more games and surprises to be announced (we’re nothing if not mysterious), it’s the perfect antidote to New Year’s uncertainty. After all, why sit at home watching Jools Holland honky tonk his way into the future when you could be living your best life with us?
