Live at Leeds: In The City has been Dork’s spiritual home for new music discovery since way back when, and this year, we’re back at our favourite haunt – taking over both rooms at the iconic Brudenell Social Club for the kind of line-up that’s twice as nice.
Heading up our main room stage on 16th November at Leeds’ most hallowed indie institution is the incomparable Moonchild Sanelly, bringing her genre-defying energy to a venue that’s witnessed countless moments of musical history. She’s joined by Master Peace, whose electric live shows have been setting venues alight across the country, plus the endlessly intriguing KEO. The bill continues with Humour, The Kites, The Kairos, Weston Loney, Pentire, Slate, and Hang Linton – each bringing their own distinct flavour to what’s shaping up to be an unmissable day of live music.
Meanwhile, our Hype stage in the Community Room is serving up tomorrow’s headliners today, with Old Mervs leading a charge of fresh faces, including Slow Fiction, EBBB, Neckbreakers, The Manatees, The Guest List, Bug Eyed, US, and Big Sleep. If you want bragging rights about seeing them first, this is your chance.
And somehow, they’ve let us loose with the aux cable at the Official Live at Leeds Afterparty, too. From 11pm ’til late at The Wardrobe, we’ll be joined by BBC Music’s DJ Adam Winch-Furness and Leeds Festival veteran DJ Dave Birkinshaw to soundtrack the celebrations into the small hours – and it’s free entry. Consider yourself warned.
Our takeover is part of the wider Live at Leeds: In The City festival, which returns for its 17th edition with over one hundred artists across Leeds’ independent venues. The festival will welcome art-rockers Everything Everything, indie wonderkid Alfie Templeman, Mercury Prize winners English Teacher, and countless other acts at the forefront of the UK’s thriving new music scene. Venues include Leeds Beckett SU, LUU Stylus, The Wardrobe, Belgrave Music Hall, Headrow House, Hyde Park Book Club, Oporto, The Key Club and Northern Guitars.
