Lykke Li has unveiled her reverse-engineered album ‘ƎYƎYƎ’, and 40-minute film ‘ƎYƎYƎ ODYSSƎY’

Lykke Li has shared a reverse-engineered version of her 2022 album ‘EYEYE’, titled ‘ƎYƎYƎ’.

It arrives alongside a re-release of her 40-minute audio-visual journey ‘ƎYƎYƎ ODYSSƎY’. The new version, released via Play It Again Sam / Crush Music, follows the release of lead single ‘TЯAƎH ЯUOY OT YAWHӘIH’.

“We wanted to capture the beauty and grandeur of a three-hour European arthouse movie, while making something native to modern media,” Li says of the visual elements, which were directed by Theo Lindquist and shot on 16 millimetre film by cinematographer Edu Grau. “The intention is to deliver the full impact of a movie in sixty seconds on a phone screen, which is where most of our emotional experiences happen now anyway.”
