Magdalena Bay have unveiled ‘Image (Grimes Special)’.
The reworked track arrives ahead of the band’s television debut performance of the original version – from their second album ‘Imaginal Disk’ – on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
“While recently under house arrest for illegally creating a super species of extremely large naked guinea pigs, Grimes is tentatively returning to music with a few remixes. This one seems extra good tho,” says Grimes of the remix. Magdalena Bay simply add: “What she said.”
The album follows a narrative centred around a character called True, played by the band’s Mica Tenenbaum, exploring human consciousness after receiving an “imaginal disk” upgrade.
